Glen Akselrod
President
Glen is the Founder and President of Bristol Capital, a leading investor relations and capital markets advisory. Glen has been involved in investor relations and capital markets industry since the 90’s and founded Bristol Capital in 2001. Over the years, Glen has developed and implemented many successful investor relations and financing strategies for a diverse set of clients across Canada and the United States and has advised on over $500M in financing transactions. Graduating from the University of Toronto in Actuarial Science and Economics in 1993, Glen has more than 25 years of investor relations and capital markets experience and is a registered member of FINRA. Glen loves to fish, competes in tennis, plays hockey and is married with two children who also share his passion for education and athletics.
Alan Akselrod
Vice President
Prior to joining Bristol Capital in 2005, Alan worked in the securities industry as well as IBM across various sales, marketing, and project management roles. His current role at Bristol sees him heading up business development initiatives while also servicing existing clients. Alan has extensive experience in institutional as well as brokerage relationship development, road show planning and execution and all other areas of client servicing. Alan attended the University of Western Ontario before starting his professional career. Alan lives in Toronto, is married with two children and is an avid fantasy sports player.
Frank Alfano
Vice President of Investor Relations
Frank started his career at Assante Wealth Management and The Berkshire Group of Companies where he was responsible for marketing and compliance. Having close to 20 years of industry experience including corporate communications, strategic management and technical experience, Frank has excellent credibility and familiarity with the financial, investment and banking communities within Canada, the United States and Europe. He has successfully increased the institutional ownership and research coverage of companies through the use of targeting and proactive contact with portfolio managers and both buy and sell-side research analysts. Frank graduated from the University of Ryerson with a major in Finance in 2000, is a registered member of FINRA, an avid soccer, hockey and football fan and is married with one child.
Christopher Filewski
Institutional Marketing Manager
Chris joined Bristol in 2012 after having graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Finance and Economics. He understands how to bridge investor needs with a client’s opportunities and the intricacies of executing an effective investor relations strategy. Chris overseas Bristol’s institutional outreach on behalf of our clients to strengthen our institutional network and reach in North America and Europe. He is responsible for maintaining and executing account strategies that develop and encourage long term client relationships with the existing Bristol institutional network and clients. Chris is a lifelong soccer fan and enjoys playing the game as well as watching live games.
Dima Kalkan
Investment Advisor and Broker Relations Manager
Leveraging his experience in Canadian wealth management, Dima is involved in multiple areas of a client’s investor relations activities including investor outreach to the stock brokerage and advisor community, communications and marketing. Using his North American network of contacts, Dima is able to position Bristol clients effectively to brokers and sell side analysts in the investment community. Dima studied at York University in Toronto and joined Bristol Capital in 2012. Fluent in Russian, German, and Hebrew, Dima indulges his passion for travel and surfing, visiting many countries and surfing the great oceans of the world.
Stefan Eftychiou
Institutional and Broker Relations Manager
Stefan joined Bristol Capital in 2014 and spearheads client research and outreach amongst the institutional and advisor community across Canada and the United States. Through his strong working relationships with multi-sector portfolio managers, buy-side financial analysts, sell-side analysts, and institutional shareholders in Canada, the U.S. and Europe, Stefan is able to effectively market Bristol clients to this audience. Having graduated from Toronto’s York University with a major in Economics, he is passionate about all sports and is a devoted Maple Leafs, Blue Jays and Raptors supporter.
We engaged Bristol Capital at the time of our spin out from another listed TSX company. We needed assistance with setting up a formal IR program that would help create broad awareness to help us reposition our business with the street. Bristol’s immediate work focused on a new IR deck, factsheet, corporate and IR website. That was followed by a strategic and broad buy and sell side outreach program. The results have been very positive and we have enjoy a successful relationship. Our shareholder base turned over since that engagement from being primarily small retail into significant institutional holdings. To date we have done numerous NDRs and presented at many investment bank conferences. From one on one calls with the buy side to webinars, Bristol always puts us in front of quality institutions and continues to expand awareness of the Viemed name with professional investors.
Casey Hoyt, CEO Viemed Health
